Type 2 Charging Cables
Our Type 2 charging cables are compatible with the Type 2 AC socket of all electric (BEV) and hybrid (PHEV) plug-in vehicles.
The Type 2 to Type 2 charging cables we have available are 1 phase 16A (3,7kW), 1 phase 32A (7,4kW), 3 phase 16A (11kW) and 3 phase 32A (22kW). These cables can be used with ANY vehicle with a Type 2 socket and will connect to ALL Type 2 1 Phase or 3 Phase public charging points or home wall chargers, as long as they do not have a cable already attached.
Which cable is the best fit for my EV? Your vehicle will have an AC onboard charger that will usually be around 3kW, 7kW, 11kW or 22kW and this will allow you to determine which cable is the best fit. The general rule of thumb we use is, if your vehicle charges between 3kW to 7,4kW, the 1 Phase 32A cable is recommended. If your vehicle charges more than 7,4kW, the 3 Phase 32A cable is recommended. To find the recommended cable for your EV model, you can also visit our Find My EV Charger page.
Keep in mind that every Type 2 charging cable below can charge your vehicle, irrespective of the maximum kW your vehicle can accept. For instance, even if you have a PHEV with a charging capacity of up to 3.3kW, you can still use a 22kW charging cable to charge it. For a list of current electric cars that are compatible with Type 2 cables, please click on the link below to see the list. If your vehicle is not listed but has a Type 2 AC or CCS socket, then it will be compatible with the charging cables below.
Don't forget that if you need any help, you can always send us a message and we will send a link to the recommended cable for your EV. Just let us know the model and year of your vehicle and what type of charging cable it is that you need.
