The New Skoda Enyaq Coupe iV

Skoda have added to their award winning Enyaq range in the form of the Enyaq Coupe iV, but why do we need an alternative to this reliable Skoda staple? Is it an easy way for Skoda to expand their electric iV range? On the face of it there doesn’t seem to be much difference, one is a practical SUV and the other is a practical Coupe. Skoda has just treated us to a sleeker, sportier version of one of their best selling models and if that’s what your after then we don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

The interior of the Coupe is not dissimilar to the SUV and unlike the Volkswagen ID.4 and  the Audi Q4 e-tron  Skoda have demonstrated some restraint when it comes to their operating systems. Feedback from customers has been listened to and instead of all functions being enabled through the touchscreen, there are some nice, easily reachable, tactile buttons. So, Skoda makes it easy to turn the heating up when you are wearing gloves!

The appearance of the Skoda Enyaq Coupe is much more city sleek as oppose to country run around while still easily accommodating a family. It is a bit of a beast weighing 2.2 tons which will have an overall effect on it's general handling. The roofline is raked and boasts a panoramic tinted glass ceiling and this is all included in the standard version. The only slight down side is the boot space which is 15 litres less than the SUV. However this a great looking car for those who want a sporty electric option.

The WLTP range of the Skoda Enyaq Coupe is around 340 miles, but charging the Coupe should be a doddle, with rapid charging speeds of 560 kW/h meaning it can charge from 10 to 80% in around 30 mins, when charging from a DC rapid charging station via the CCS port. The Skoda Enyaq Coupe has a Type 2 charging socket and a 11kW 3 phase charging capacity resulting in an around a 8 hour empty to full charge from 3 phase charging points and a 12 hour empty to full charge from 7 KW home charging points.
